"Dance Jam" is the Bay Area's only all-vinyl ecstatic dance event, taking place every Friday night in a pristine Aikido studio. With no facilitation or moves to learn, the event welcomes all ages and offers a variety of dance music genres. The evening begins with soft music for yoga and stretching, followed by a high-energy wave and ending with calming tunes. The event has a warm and welcoming West Berkeley community and offers pass packs for multiple visits. Established in 1976, "Dance Jam" has been hosted by Mark Metz since June 2015, and continues to be a popular and inclusive event for all.
