Under The Root

Under The Root is an intimate apparel design house founded by Jennifer in 2005 as a tribute to modern dance. The brand was born out of a need for undergarments for dancers, performers, artists, and free thinkers, and has since evolved through extensive research, development, and a commitment to sustainability. Under The Root specializes in compassionate and transformative designs, utilizing industrial hemp, organic cottons, and sustainable practices. The brand aims to coalesce the early twentieth century underground with modern day responsibility, and is dedicated to supporting slow design and healing the planet. The studio is open to the public by appointment only.
