The company has gained recognition for its original handmade furniture and sophisticated handcrafts made from 100-year-old reclaimed oak. Featured in notable publications such as House Beautiful and Rue Magazine, Turkish Modern has garnered a following among fellow Turks. In 2012, Alexander B. Carter joined the company, bringing over 10 years of experience in education and advertising. Together, Şeyda and Alexander are collaborating on new design projects and working with up-and-coming designers to create a unique boutique in New Orleans. Turkish Modern takes pride in its warm customer service and commitment to keeping traditional Turkish design alive, with ateliers overseen by Şeyda herself. The company's products are shared with their second home, San Francisco, and are known for their variety and quality.
