In January 1949 the unit was reactivated in Munich, Germany and assumed responsibility for various missions in 7th Army. Between 1957 and 1968 it was deployed to Boeblingen, Germany. In 1968 the unit returned to the US and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. While at Ft. Campbell, the unit supported the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), the 5th Special Forces Group, and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, participating in many REFORGER and rapid deployment force exercises. During Desert Storm and Desert Shield, the Battalion was task organized to provide close combat service support to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and the XVIII Airborne Corps. The Battalion transported over 41,168 short tons of supplies, equipment and personnel over a distance of 2,834,984 miles providing a wide variety of multifunctional logistics support including transportation, terminal transfer, general supply operation, direct support maintenance, medical and graves registration support and field services. The Battalion task organized as the 29th Transportation Battalion Task Force and deployed to Homestead Air Force Base, Florida in support of hurricane Andrew relief Operations. As a part of Joint Task Force Andrew, the Battalion provided much needed support to both the civilian population and the military forces within the disaster stricken areas surrounding Homestead, Florida. On 16 October 1992 upon returning to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky the unit was converted and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 129th Corps Support Battalion, and assigned to the 101st Corps Support Group. March 2002- The 129th CSB deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan as a combined Logistical Task Force comprised of units from the 129th CSB, the 561st CSB, the 101st SSB, and units from Ft. Bragg and Ft. Lewis in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The mission of the Task Force was to provide direct Logistical support to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), 10th Mountain Division elements, along with other coalition and special operations force. In February 2003 elements of the 129th CSB along with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) deployed to support troops in the continued War on Terrorism in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In June 2003 a Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan for continued support to OEF with its second deployment against the War on Terrorism. The 129th CSB assumed responsibility for various missions in Mosul and Tirkrit, and in the initial transport of Soldiers into Iraq. Through the years, the battalion provided support to Division and Corps level forces at various locations throughout the world to include, West Point, National Training Center, Joint Readiness Training Center, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Ft. Drum, Ft. McCoy, Ft. Stewart, Ft. Bragg, Honduras, Canada, Grenada, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. In 2004 the entire 101st Airborne Division began a trasnformation to the US Army's new modular force structure. A part of this transformation involve the reorganization of divisional support units and their relationships. Elements of the Division Support Command (DISCOM) were made organic to each of the Division's 4 brigades, while other elements of DISCOM and the 101st Corps Support Group were deactivated and reactivated as part of the reorganized 101st Sustainment Brigade. The reorganized and redesignated 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion was deactivated and reactivated, assigned to the 101st Sustainment Brigade.
