Tenderloin Economic Development Project

TEDP, a program of NOMNIC, collaborates with a diverse array of neighborhood stakeholders in arts, education, tech, housing, and hospitality. Established in 1999, NOMNIC initially operated a sidewalk cleaning program with grants and voluntary contributions. In 2005, NOMNIC successfully sponsored the creation of the TL CBD, the largest assessment district in SF. Following this, NOMNIC conducted a study of TL's economic development needs, leading to the creation of TEDP. TEDP aims to facilitate economic development by collaborating and coordinating with existing organizations, rather than creating new programs. The project has received support from various entities, including the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and several foundations.
