Southern Obesity Summit

The 10th Annual Southern Obesity Summit focuses on strategies to prevent obesity, including early childcare, food access, nutrition policy, health care, physical activity, schools, and worksite wellness. The summit aims to help stakeholders implement policy and program initiatives across all 16 Southern states and promote cross-sector collaboration and partnerships to prevent obesity. The largest regional obesity prevention event in the United States, the summit will be held in Houston, Texas in November 2016. The summit was initially funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and has been held in various Southern cities since 2007.
