The SDSU Coastal and Marine Institute Laboratory (CMIL) aims to foster a supportive community among students in marine ecology and biology at San Diego State University. The Marine Ecology and Biology Student Association (MEBSA) was founded by graduate students to improve the academic environment at CMIL and facilitate collaboration and communication among students and faculty. MEBSA also provides education and research opportunities to students in the marine science community at SDSU.
