Ruby Sunshine is a breakfast and brunch restaurant that brings the unique flavors and hospitality of New Orleans to its all-day menu and eye-opening cocktails. Founded by Jennifer and Erich Weishaupt, the restaurant is the newest addition to the Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group, which has grown to operate 11 restaurants in the Southern United States. Inspired by the sense of homecoming they felt after Hurricane Katrina, the Weishaupts opened the original Ruby Slipper Café in 2008, with the hope of drawing people back to their Mid-City neighborhood. Ruby Sunshine continues to uphold the same commitment to fresh, local ingredients and community engagement that has made the Ruby Slipper Café a sought-after destination for locals and visitors alike.
