He and his mother, Elizabeth, created their own recipe for Italian Ice, which they made fresh each day. Today, Rita's is the largest Italian Ice concept in the nation, with over 600 shops in 31 states. In addition to Italian Ice and Frozen Custard, the chain offers a variety of other cold treats, including Milkshakes, Sundaes, and signature Misto and Blendini creations.
