Poster House, opening in June 2019, is the first museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to posters. Through exhibitions, events, and publications, Poster House presents a global view of posters from their earliest appearance in the late 1800s to their present-day use. The museum aims to engage and educate all audiences as it investigates the impact of large format graphic design on mass communication, persuasion, and the intersection of art and commerce. Poster House also explores the control of the public domain and the ability of posters to reflect the place and time in which they were made. The museum offers limited founding memberships and is a member of the International Vintage Poster Dealers Association.
