NYC Together

NYC Together aims to improve school outcomes by preventing suspensions, increasing attendance, and improving academic performance. The organization also works to improve police-community relations by collaborating on training, engaging rookie officers and students in programming, and providing physically and intellectually stimulating activities. Additionally, NYC Together equips students and officers with tools and knowledge for self and community advocacy by exposing them to stakeholders, training them in grassroots organizing, and planning actions to address social justice issues. Overall, the organization provides an opportunity for students and officers to support each other in collaborative efforts to increase civic engagement, foster leadership, and strengthen communities.
