Montecito School was founded in 1960 by Molly and Jim Matthews, who wanted to create a safe and natural environment for early childhood learning. Over 50 years later, their daughters Erin Mobley and Megan Matthews are continuing the school's legacy by ensuring the curriculum meets the founders' original vision. The school offers part-time and full-day preschool classes, as well as drop-in enrichment programs and summer camps for children up to 5th grade. The school's unique philosophy emphasizes hands-on learning in a rich natural environment, nurturing children's social, motor, and cognitive skills.
