Lelolai Bakery & Café is a female, minority-owned business that has been serving up delicious Spanish desserts, pastries, and other delicacies since its opening in March 2001. Owner Alma Sapia Alfonzo has received numerous awards and recognition for her entrepreneurial spirit and the quality of her products, including the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Cleveland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and being named one of the top 200 restaurants in the nation by Gourmet Magazine. The café is also known for its award-winning Cuban sandwiches and has expanded its wholesale production to include Spanish shortbread cookies and coconut macaroons, distributing to three states.
