Foci Cognitive Training utilizes neurofeedback and other non-medicinal research-based approaches to help clients alleviate symptoms associated with ADHD, anxiety, and similar neurological disorders. Neurofeedback is a computer-based training that enables individuals to train their brain to operate more effectively, using their actual brainwave activity for assessment and training. Clients undergo a brainwave activity assessment, which is then compared to a database of high-functioning individuals of the same age to identify any significant deviations. A training protocol is established to enable clients to train their brain’s dysregulated areas, alleviating or eliminating symptoms. Training consists of playing video games or watching movies, with the game operated entirely by the client's mind. Neurofeedback has been successful in reducing or eliminating symptoms for a wide variety of disorders and is also commonly used by individuals seeking to improve their own mental performance.
