ERA Coalition

The ERA Coalition is dedicated to securing constitutional equality through the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Despite falling just three states short of the required 38 for passage in the 1970s, the ERA is reintroduced in Congress each session, with current efforts focused on either a fresh start with new wording or the removal of the original time limit. With societal changes making many previous concerns obsolete, the coalition aims to bring together veteran activists and a new generation to build a successful campaign for ERA passage and ratification.
