Engine 68 & Ladder 49

Engine 68 & Ladder 49 have a rich history of serving the High Bridge area of the Bronx. The fire companies have been in operation since the late 1800s, providing fire protection to the rapidly growing neighborhood. Over the years, the companies have experienced changes in locations, equipment, and personnel, but their commitment to serving the community has remained steadfast. The present-day company quarters at 1160 Ogden Avenue continue to house Engine Company 68 and Ladder Company 49, carrying on the legacy of their predecessors.
