Ellen Gerstein's Acting Workshop

Ellen Gerstein's Acting Workshop offers dynamic acting classes and coaching for individuals of all ages and skill levels, including those with disabilities. Located in Los Angeles, Ellen also offers virtual/online private lessons and coaching. With a background in social work, stand-up comedy, and a graduate degree in Psychology, Ellen brings a unique and diverse perspective to her teaching. Her classes cover script analysis, auditioning skills, the art of listening, structured improvs, scene study, and constructive critiques. Ellen is a lifetime member and judge at The Actors Studio, as well as a member of the Alliance of Women Directors and Greenlight Women. Her teaching focuses on strong choices, truth-telling, specificity, and working through inhibitions. She is dedicated to inspiring and connecting students to their own power.
