Dr. Thomas K. Ro, MD

Dr. Thomas K. Ro, MD, is a nationally recognized board-certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist with a focus on high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy-related diabetes. He has been consistently ranked as one of the top obstetricians and gynecologists in the nation and has received numerous awards for his work, including the Louis M. Hellman MD Midwifery Partnership Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Ro is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients and has a strong research interest in diabetes management during pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis of fetal abnormalities, and assessment of amniotic fluid volume. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ro serves as dean of clinical affairs and chief executive officer of the UC San Diego Faculty Practice, providing leadership for the inpatient and outpatient physician practice. Outside of work, he enjoys sailing, photography, playing jazz music, and spending time with his family.
