He holds the Judith and Jack White Chair in Cardiology and is the founding director of the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center at UC San Diego. Dr. DeMaria is actively involved in trials focused on non-invasive methods for diagnosing and treating heart disease. He has received numerous awards and is listed in The Best Doctors in America. Dr. DeMaria has also served on the Subspecialty Board on Cardiovascular Disease for the American Board of Internal Medicine and is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of American College of Cardiology and Echocardiography.
