Communitea, established in 2005, offers the largest selection of fine loose-leaf teas in LIC, along with nutritious sandwiches, salads, and fresh-baked treats. The establishment now also serves beer and wine. In addition to their extensive tea selection, they serve Irving Farm Coffee, vegan and gluten-free options, brunch, and homemade pastries. The teahouse/cafe moved to a larger location in late 2016, allowing them to cater to bigger groups, host events, and serve local craft beer on tap, wine, and Kombucha. They also host monthly events such as Horror Bingo Night, Chamber Music Concert Series, Art Openings, and Trivia.
