Dr. Deborah Kado, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor specializing in caring for the elderly, with expertise in evaluating and treating osteoporosis. She directs the Osteoporosis Clinic at UC San Diego Health and sees patients in the Endocrinology outpatient clinic in La Jolla. As a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Kado instructs medical students, residents, and fellows and is a funded National Institutes of Health (NIH) researcher. She previously served on faculty at UCLA and completed fellowship training in geriatric and osteoporosis clinical research at UCSF. Dr. Kado earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and holds a master's of science degree in epidemiology from UCLA School of Public Health. She is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine.
