Business Description
USI is a student group at UC Berkeley that supports students impacted by mass incarceration, imprisonment, and involuntary detainment. The group aims to bridge the academic study of mass incarceration with the lived experiences of UC Berkeley students and is working to develop a Prison-to-School pipeline within the University of California. USI has served over 800 UC Berkeley students and was founded in 2013 to demystify the university experience and create space for those impacted by incarceration.
