Founded in 2005 by award-winning artistic directors Christine Cox and Matthew Neenan, BalletX challenges the boundaries of classical ballet through formal experimentation while preserving rigorous technique. With over 30 world premieres by internationally renowned artists, the company has expanded its repertoire and reached over 24,000 people in its last five seasons as the Resident Dance Company of The Wilma Theater.
